Ryland Pietras

Ryland Pietras is currently a graduate student at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. He previously studied communications, media & theater at Northeastern Illinois University where he earned the university’s Wilson Award for most impactful member of the media. He has reported for South Side Weekly, City Bureau, and in 2023, participated in NPR’s NextGen Radio. His work has covered issues such as migration, housing, local government and the environment.
